So this pass weekend was..... how can I put this? Different! There were many ups and downs. #weekendstory I got the car ready, locked, and loaded. Drove to ohio to play. Friday night I got too lima Ohio and got to see a old friend Brittani Marquis at work :-). Saturday morning I went outside to the truck and seen some oil underneath it. Turns out the load from pulling must have gotten to a worn out part. (Oil level was below add, so good thing I caught it!!) After adding oil my friends and I headed out to #driftindy event at killcare speedway. Checked over the car and went out on the track. (This was my first time in the drivers seat with the vh45 swap). Dispite the rainy conditions, overall it was a good day with no mechanical issues but it was running a tad hot dew too a k.a rad and fan. So sat ended with a good note and we loaded up and headed to Columbus Ohio for #driftmovement drift event. Arrived at Columbus safety, parked, drank a couple beers, and went to sleep! ( btw we slept in the truck :-D ). Sunday morning was another ordeal. I went to go start the truck, but the starter decided to take a dump and melt the battery terminal. So we unloaded the racecar and drove to AutoZone and back with a new terminal. Since the starter went we knew that the truck was going to have to be pop started. So we did just that and headed to the track. ( yes we had to disconnect trailer and start it). We then arrived at Columbus motor speedway an unloaded everything. Did a check up on the car and lined up for some fun Much needed seat time. The car was running great. Went out and didnt even get to finish one lap before I spun and my kill switch decided it had enough. So I was pushed off the track and I removed the kill switch. Started the car....... and BOOM just like that had a ROD KNOCK! Within seconds it went from a small tick to a hard knock so we shut the car off. Once we realized that our day was over we loaded up and headed out. I dropped my friends off because they live in lima and I headed back to indy. During my ride back to indy, I decided to stop at walmart for... yup you guessed it..OIL!!! I go in and out of walmart, put the oil in the truck ( yes while it was running.... didnt spill anything either) and started to drive away when I noticed the u haul trailer had a flat. Go figure! So I called the insurance and they came fixed the tire and I made it home safely! Gosh ....... what a weekend right!! But honestly I couldnt do any of it without god and good friends by my side helping all the way. Id like to thank my friends for putting up with all the set backs we had this weekend an for those of you that helped get the car where it was. I really couldnt have done it without you guys. I also would like to thank #driftindy and #driftmovement for having me at there awesome events.
