So this past weekend was Fête de Saint Nicolas here in Nancy. St. Nicolas is not to be confused with Santa or Papa Noël. He drinks whiskey instead of milk. He revives three kids after a butcher cuts them to pieces. He rides a donkey around after said whiskey drinking and miracle making.
