So, this video hit home. I havent really talked about my reason for joining Younique in this group...or anywhere publicly, really. Ill make this as short as I can. I joined because I have debt. My own, personal debt. Plenty of it. And, of course, the grown up kind of debt we all have - mortgage and car. Ive never been very good with money, to be honest. And while I do make some good choices, I also make some really stupid ones sometimes, too. In the spring of 2014, I started toying with the idea of getting a second job to put that money towards my line of credit....but working nights and weekends in addition to my full time day job was overwhelming and depressing. Even if I worked 10-15 hours a week, at $11.00 - $12.00 an hour, it would only bring in an extra $400-$500 a month! But I am already out of the house enough....so I didnt want to do that. I could do manicures, pedicures, waxing and massages on the side.... but that felt overwhelming, too. Carrying my equipment around, or hosting people in my home. Oy vey! And then my BFF, Erika Walsh, joined Younique. This beautiful stay-at-home-mom to 3 gorgeous kids, and long time make-up and skin care lover, took a shot in the dark and went for it. I tried her mascara when I went home to Newfoundland in June, and fell in love!!! I immediately saw the potential, and something told me that I could do this. Ive always been full of positive energy, I always share my love of great products with my friends, and you all trust me - you know I wouldnt lead you astray on beauty products! Its been 6 months. I can see now that the earning potential is sky-high! Sure, its work, but if you like people and you like make-up? It honestly does NOT feel like work to me! And you know what else!? The ripple effect that this has had on my life has honestly blown me away. I have reconnected with old friends, made new and amazing friends, and I have built a little community around me that is FULL of positive, uplifting and supportive women!!! There is no room for back-stabbing, jealousy, negativity or bullshit. I am clearing all of those energies out of my life, and what is flooding in, is absolute magic! This is about so much more than paying down my debt now. Its about relationships, energy, community, connections, friendships, and learning how to be a good leader. Studying the law of attraction, and putting it into practice. And the initial reason why I started? The money? Its the flipping icing on my magic cake pop now. And I have plenty of icing... you keep watching. Because this girl is going to be debt-free sooner than later! And then? Shes going to the Los Angeles to meet Ellen Degeneres. You just wait and see.
