So this week alone: I have taught English for four afternoons, had multiple spiders, centipedes and other critters try to attack me, preached at youth, been bogged on a muddy hill in a tuktuk full of people, shared at the prison and did massages/nail paint jobs for the ladies there, we had worship (lifegroup for everyone who lives onsite) twice, Church twice on Sunday, played numerous hours of Hey Day with everyone around the kitchen table stopping only when the power went out (amidst cries of despair haha), had ladies lifegroup, went to the slums and had my heart taken by so many gorgeous people, went to the markets (an experience that’s for sure… I love it!), multiple facetime/snapchat chats with MANY snapshots, learnt some Khmer (understood my first scripture reference during a church service – cannot express my excitement! :P), learnt some basic Khmer cooking, made new lifelong friends every day, been to the hairdresser to get our nails done, taken over 1000 photos, watched multiple games of soccer surrounded by kids as the sun set over head, listened to the rain pour as I fell asleep and so many more moments that will be treasured for the rest of my life! Thankyou all for being a part of this year’s story. One week down – many more to come! :D
