So this week there was 4 kids invited by their new coach (which was a former head coach for mars hill college) to go to the Mars Hill game today and stand on the sidelines with the players and coaches as the game is being played... My son was one of those with the invite! So needless to say today my son will get to do something that never in his wildest dreams he wouldve ever been given an opportunity to do... He has a VIP badge, he gets to stand there with guys whos been chosen and futures are bright, he has a few of his good buddies with him to experience this moment with and he has a great coach that cares enough about these kids to give them a taste of what its like to be on those sidelines... Even thou that spark has been lit in him many years ago to go as far as God sees fit today I know that spark will turn to a flame in his desires of not quitting and letting this become his last year of football and achieving his dreams!!! Bitter sweet for me his old momma sits here while he enjoys a lifetime experience I pray for their safety to the game and back home and I also know that whats best for my son is that flame he is carrying today... But I also know that this is the beginning of a reality that will take him in the direction of not waking up at night and checking the beds of my children for I know soon one of those beds are about to be empty... I will never regret the decision I made leaving a job that consumed my time and took me away from watching my kids dreams come true... God is good to me and my children and my prayers into today seats me in a prayer of that spark being turned to a flame and that there travels there and back that God puts a special hand on that vehicle they are in and brings them all back home to us parents safely so we can soon hear of this experience of a high school kid... My Lord is soo good to me that he brings me tears of joy today... U boys have a blast today and know ur Good Lord brings this season to u today seize the moment!!! Love u to heaven and back and know this never could words explain just how proud I am of u and the decision I made everyday u make it worth it Cameron Johnson
