So this weekend marks a year when we had to pack up my moms place - TopicsExpress

So this weekend marks a year when we had to pack up my moms place and she moved into respite care. We didnt know what would happen next but we knew things would be different and it was sad. It was so difficult to pack up the things of life into boxes and distribute it knowing that it would be gone forever and that now wed be waiting for the inevitable. This was the most difficult thing I ever had to do. At the same time, the first procedure to remove my cancer cells took place the following week. But as always theres a silver lining - A year today, (unknowingly) Scot asked my moms permission to marry me and she said nothing would make her happier :). A year later I can only reflect with many feelings, some just beginning to process, and I am truly in awe of how when difficult things happen its so important to just keep going; to dig down and with all your strength just push through. There will always be a light at the end of the tunnel, it just may not always be the light you wanted. But it will always be a new light regardless :) and no matter what, new strength will be gained.
