So this week’s commute has been a little challenging without Emilie to get me a pass in the carpool lane. It’s made me even more aware of just how much I hate my commute. Man drivers can be assholes, but mostly this week I am over the motorcycle drives and just wanted to take a few minutes to vent about these drivers, so please be patient with me: 1. The speed limit for all vehicles is 65mph. I am sure the CHP and DMV would be happy to confirm this. 2. I am pretty sure (please correct me if I am wrong) that the double yellow line between the carpool lane and fast lane is NOT a motorcycle Autobahn lane. 3. Yes, I read the electronic sign that says to share the lane with motorcyclists, and am happy too, but I was not born with eyes in the back of my head and cannot see you when you come out of nowhere doing 80+mph because I am trying to watch the other idiot drivers on the road in front of me. PS: I do try to move over when the traffic slows down so you can traverse between the lanes to make your drive easier, but is it really necessary to flip the guy off in front of me and push his side mirror in because he didn’t see you because again…he was not born with eyes in the back of his head and because we were doing 50mph, so was passing us between traffic really necessary?!
