So-this white guy in Portland, Oregon was walking down the street with a loaded gun in his hand and the police allowed him the opportunity to explain to them why he did not have to show them any ID, why he did not have to tell them his name, why they did not have the right to detain him and why they did not have the right to confiscate his gun. The police actually gave him his loaded gun back and let him walk away! No voices were raised, no threats were made, no choke hold were done no punches were thrown and no handcuffs were used. Yes- knowing the law is a beautiful thing-but I still cant help but have a sneaky suspicion that if this were a black guy who knew the law as well as this white dude and was trying to drop the same knowledge on these cops in the same respectful manner in the same exact situation that things would have turned out a bit differently...ijs
