So, this whole thing... It only happened because people with power decided to be assholes. From the beginning. 1) Getting fed up with messages from people who had been disciplined, Dusty chose to just get rid of the mods instead of having a private discussion with the mods to work things out. Which led to... 2) Michael Potin OBrien lashes out publicly about being de-modded instead of taking the matter to Dusty in private and working things out. This led to... 3) The group being overwhelmed by spam and nonsense until finally Dusty DID reinstate MPO and others. But... 4) Now taking a more active role, Dusty begins exercising his previously seldom used power for seemingly trivial offenses. This causes... 5) MPO to once again call Dusty out publicly instead of addressing matters in private. And of course... 6) Dusty asserted that it was his group and he could do as he wished, which is what led to the power struggle. A power struggle Dusty lost. The moral is that all of this bullshit could have been avoided if SOMEONE at SOME POINT acted with some decorum and courtesy instead of dick measuring.
