So this will sadly end up in a nerd fight but Ive tested extensively and Ive concluded I cant be as precise with at least the stock rane modded fader as I am with my focus fader. Focus is on off the rane to get it like the focus bleeds too much to get those last back end clicks in that Im used to. I do have an inno fader Ive yet to try (need to get the circuit board separately I guess for the 56) but I need to figure out how to put the focus in the 56 and Ill be in heaven. You can argue/debate its all good but Ive had the unique opportunity to of used the focus for so long and know it inside out. Ive stayed with the rane exclusively for the last few months, and gave it the benefit of the doubt and it still comes up short for me and my particular style. The mixer itself is fantastic if I can get the focus in there it will be destructive. I dont get the clean clicks Im used to and it annoys me that I cant perform 100% on the cut. Most will look at the vids I did with the rane and say Im retarded , which is fine but you are your worst critic and I dont feel I can get 100% out of the stock fader. With that said, its practice time.
