So... those of you who enjoy my religious and political posting may know Ive been looking for the atheist response to religion. I dont mean the destroy-god-and-his-worshippers approach that many well known atheists and pagans have taken. Rather, Im looking for the atheists response to the role religion plays in our culture, our country and our lives. I see very little reason to celebrate a life lived as an atheist. Ecclesiastes 8:15 comes to mind, but it is a bit glum considering the annihilation supposedly awaiting its followers and everyone else.
