So today I am Thankful that I am able to cook and celebrate the most horrific day of my life!! Its 8 years ago today that the tragic call came in that Blake had been shot and they were not certain if he had or hadnt made it. The last that they had been told was he was in critical condition.... 12 hours later I answered to a very faint voice saying hey Mom Im ok.... Although our conversation was brief I knew he was alive!!! I Thank God everyday for sparing him that although its been a long road with 34 surgeries they had given us little hope he would ever walk again nor would he be able to have children... Well with Gods hands in it all he does walk and I have 2 BEAUTIFUL GRANDBABIES!!!! So on this day each year our family gets together to celebrate Blake ,Thank God for our blessings and his Marine brothers that pulled him to safety!!!
