So today I am driving along Prospect towards Bridgetown and there - TopicsExpress

So today I am driving along Prospect towards Bridgetown and there is this man blowing all the trimmings from the freshly trimmed hedge into road and into the box drain, which was covered with grill since it was the driveway to the property. So as I continue to drive my thoughts who is going to clean the road? who is going to clear the blocked drains? why would he think its ok to blow stuff from a private property onto the public road? ......... this is Bull shit.... by this time I am by the Round-a-bout at University Hill... So I go around it and head back to the property, pulled over, called the guy, told him that what he was doing was wrong and that he really should not be making the road untidy and causing our drains to be blocked because someone will have to clean them and it would not be him. Although I was annoyed, I was pleasantly surprised when the young man said ya know ya right i gine clean it up and work different next time. Well I returned to the office intending to call Sothebys West Coast Villas and tell them , first about the blowing of the stuff into the road and drain, and then to tell them about how well the young man responded. My call to them was most instructive. First it took me 3 to 4 minutes of back and forth chat with the receptionist who insisted that I tell her the nature of my call although I told her that I was calling regarding their property at Prospect , Portico and I wanted to speak to the person who manages the property. Eventually she put me through to another property manager since the one responsible for that property was away from the office. After I related the reason for my call, she responded: Do you go around calling everywhere you see people blowing stuff into the road, or is it because of the sign you see on the property........Well you can interpret that statement yourself. My response took our discussion into a completely different direction. My regret was that I did not get to tell her of the young mans response which was far superior to hers. And I will, but to someone higher up the ladder. It became obvious to me how easy the culture of an organization can be so unwittingly shown.
