So, today I can say I am 3 years a cancer Survivor. Three years ago, at just about this time, I was getting the news that I had a very aggressive sub-type of breast cancer known as Triple Negative. Little did I know how very much that revelation would change my life, in both expected and unexpected ways…both good and bad. I have met some amazing people. I have been left in awe of the strength of spirit I have encountered and the sheer will of some of my survivor sisters an brothers. I have lost more than a few dear, dear friends along the way. There simply aren’t words to express what this journey has been like but I can say this – I wouldn’t change a single second. I have been blessed with an appreciation for myself and for my life that I never would have had without this little tango with cancer and for that, I am truly grateful. In honor of yet another year of Survival – of life not given to this disease, please support me in my continued journey against breast cancer by donating to my 3-Day walk.
