So today I had an experience that I feel I need to share with my facebook sisters. Someone very dear to me gave me my truth, that I knew was there, but I kept making excuses for it. She put it in my face no holds barred. Initially I was embarrassed & hurt, but facing it & working thru it, I now feel better & stronger in what I have to do. After the conversation she began to enact a plan to help me replace the old truth with a new and better truth. How many of us have said at one time or another, girl I had to tell you about yourself, because you are tow up from the flo up! Or yeah thats my girl but I had to tell her about herself. Or girl, he aint no good you need to cut him loose right now. And it was all done with love right? Well, we had good intentions and we felt good about sharing the truth in love, but who knows that there are two parts to sharing the truth in love? So now that the truth is out of the bag how about we put some action to those words. When you told her about herself did you participate in the betterment process? Did you help her get her hair done? Did you help her clean her filthy house? Did you remind her of who she is and who she is? Well thats how the truth in love works. The truth is not always an easy pill to swallow & sometimes it hurts. So after you revealed the truth in love be a part of the rebuilding process, after all we are our sisters keepers.
