So today I had people interested in seeing my house. I met a really nice girl over there who was due to have a baby in December. As I was leaving, and Doug was painting, a car pulled up. Out came a crutch. I thought it must be someone older; maybe a knee replacement....except this wasnt. This was a guy maybe mid 20s. The nurse in me assessed his too pale face, and the lack of muscle tone in his legs. He had his fiancee with him and a younger daughter. I went ahead and left, Doug showed him the house. He called me to let me know that the young man was regular Army, had been hurt in Iraq, and was on a disability, at 26 years of age, for the rest of his life. He couldnt find anyone to rent to him, because he has a housebroke husky. So, is there really any need to say anymore? Aaron and his family will be moving in my house next week. He must have thanked me three times when I called him and asked him how soon did he need to move in.... Imagine, him thanking me? I told him I was honored to rent a house to him, and thank you so much for your sacrifice and your service to this country. I just dont feel that its enough. I am so humbled by such a courageous young man.
