So, today I had someone tell me again how I should write a book...or a blog...or something. And it got me to thinking. She said that I am articulate, funny, and I have no shame. Shes right. Not so much about the funny part, cause I am sure there are people who dont agree. Articulate...maybe...but I had the English Language drilled into me by my parents, and a really great school system. The no shame part? Absolutely! I will tell anyone all the stupid embarrassing things that have ever happened to me... because that is part of life...all the mistakes, blunders and oh Crap moments that make up my everyday life. We all have them. Some of mine may be a little more graphic....the chicken in the back of the truck driving down the highway... or the over-amorous Turkey....the wearing my sweater inside out and backwards all day at work and no one told me episode... I am embarrassed by nothing. I am generous to a fault. I have had many times when I have no heat in my house. ( like now ) .no running water... no electricity... because I could not pay my bills. My kids learned to be resilient, resourceful, and adaptable. I raised 2 great kids..... and a few others that were not mine... but I hope I instilled in them the things I value, caring, compassion, resilience and acceptance. I am more proud of who they are, than of who I am. And that is how it should be.
