So today I received an automated call from my younger sons school saying he was absent. (He was not supposed to be) Obviously I called the school immediately and inquired into the matter. The reply I got was that the secretary was away from her desk and they would check to see if he was there as soon as she got back, would I like them to call me back and let me know? Lmao are you kidding me? The child I gave birth to may or may not be missing and you have to ask IF I want to know? Turns out it was just an error in the system (go figure) and all is well. Still common sense is a freaking superpower these days.
