So....today I saw this guy that I usually talk to on the bus since for whatever reason, we usually take the Gray 4 at the same time, or we take the commuter bus at the same time. Hes a graduate student in Computer Engineering, and today we exchanged names after 2 months of running into one another, his name is Alec. So, Im not really sure where hes from, but on our usual small talk bus ride he first asked if I had done my taxes yet, which I answered I finished them in January. He then shifted to how being married is a tax break, and raised an eyebrow toward me. I said Im not married. He then shifted to how Iowa girls are obsessed with getting married at 20 and having babies right away in order to have the system support them by having one child after another because after 2 kids, whats the big deal to have a 3rd and how its a lifestyle, it seems. I told him I was married at 20. He asked me why and I said because I got pregnant. :) LMAO. He then proceeded to ask me how old my son was and I told him, 17, and Im getting my education and looking to support myself. I told him my mother is from Colombia, South America, and I dont get child support or welfare, and I am a senior in Chemical Engineering after studying Biochemistry the first time. I have been married and divorced and I never got a dime from any spouse, and Im alright with that because it means I owe nobody anything. I think he likes me. ;)
