The gal who was giving us the tour was shocked that we had eight kids and that I have homeschooled (and am) all of them all the way through. She looked at the boys and said, I hope you appreciate your mom. They both nodded and one of them put his arm around me and gave me a squeeze. I didnt think much of it at the moment, but realized later just how precious that was and what a testimony it was to this woman as to the value of homeschooling because I dont think most teen boys would have publicly hugged their mom and ours do it all the time.
