So today I visited with my maternal (and only surviving) granny, Paulina, 82 to pay homage to her health, longevity and wisdom, to bond and to share this Christmas tide cheer and the fruits of the Peasant Shamba. She and my aunt Anne Osele and uncle Caleb marveled at the sweetness and size of the banana. In March therefore, I will share the seedlings with them. Besides favoring her with my bananas and beans, I also, inevitably, brought along an assortment of goodies from the you - need - it - weve - got - it elephant. A tremendously fulfilling day of laughter and juice and stories and memories...and a transfer of the knowledge of plants and their value, even medicinal. Dana (Luonglish for granny) is generally cool...her spirit is healthy but her body creaks a wee painfully. She doesnt walk long anymore. Anyways, all will be well. So tukakaa, tukazungumza, tukacheka na tukaangazia siku za usoni! Finally we posed for pichas...this is where she dropped the bomb: she needed three things - a) I should visit more often (rahisi hiyo); b) These photos we take I should develop them, put them in an album and present.it to her (rahisi sana); c) NOW THE TOUGHIE: Next time I should visit her with a girlfiend so that when we take a photo, she stands on my side and the girlfriend on the other, not always just taking incomplete photos with her! I tried to jitetea ati these days girlfriends are difficult to get but she retorted, thats no problem, you just sort it out!. Puahahahaha wolololo! Now my friends see the mzigo that I have? Ngumu sana. But I can try it out. So, if you notice that I start gatecrashing bashes, chunguliaring ladies Facebook profiles, changing my appearance and applying makeup, harangueing peoples sisters or daughters, broadcasting complements and flatteries, insisting that ladies talk to me with their fingers where I can see them, spending too much on parties and dates, joining several churches choirs, improving my wardrobe, missing work deadlines, not weeding r he Peasant Shamba, sharing/posting love poems, inviting ladies for a cross-country drive by Lake Victoria, dyeing my hair, releasing a single, filling my diary with weddings and joining wedding committees, cooking lasagne, daydreaming and drooling, shopping for teddy bears and black forest, sucking lollipop and adjudication and didnt Miss Wherever pageants, please understand, because I will be actively seeking a beautiful woman to take a photo with my granny and I and nd be mine forever. You know what, you can also help. I am out in the market seeking. Serikali pia inaeza ingilia kati. I am on a roll: operation mrembo! Tihihihi. 😆😆😆
