So today I was in the grocery store and there was an elderly lady on oxygen in front of me with just one bag of groceries. She didnt have quite enough money to pay for her one bag of food. So they took out a few things and she was still about 3 dollars short. I slid the money across the belt to the cashier, who thanked me and gave me back the change. They elderly lady looked at me and said did you just pay the rest of that? I said yes maam. She put her head down, took her bag and walked away. I feel bad now because she was embarrassed. I thought I was just being kind, a good karma, pass it forward, kind of thing. But I didnt mean to embarrass her. Did I do the wrong thing? Thoughts on this please?
