So today I was pondering how hectic and mentally challenging the next 14 months of my life are going to be. I finally enrolled in and MSN program with the emphasis on Nursing Education. This program is a 14 month program. About a week after I competed the admission process and was accept to Grand Canyon University, one of my bosses (I have 5 cardiologist I work with and one is an EP who is absolutely awesome) informed me that I need to be nationally certified in cardiac device management within a year. I am also getting very involved with a group call Society of Creative Anachronism (SCA). So I am learning how to make clothing from 15th Century and how to make textiles the old fashion way. I have also gotten involved with the Archery within the SCA. Who would have known I enjoy shooting arrows with a long bow and wooden arrows. I also have to get into a healthy exercise pattern, per my PCP orders. I also require at least 8 hours a sleep at night to function in a pleasant manner with the rest of the world. I work Monday-Friday as a triage nurse in a very busy cardiology office. I also have taken on the responsibilities of INR manager, device clinic manager, cath lab scheduler and pt education. I may not be as physically active compared to when I was a floor nurse, but it can be just as exhausting. So I am very grateful for the awesome support I have from my most amazing husband. He helps me stay sane in this crazy world I call life.
