So today I went to Walmart to pick up a few things . I think I was in the store 1/2 to 45 mins, Went I went to my car the was a white car park next to me. There also was a woman when you teenage girls standing by the car. As I went my the car I notice there was a dog in it with the windows-open a little. The woman went to customer service to report it and see it the would announce it over the loud speaker. The lady at the courtesy booth said It was Walmart policy not to get involved with people leaving dogs in the car. I had forgotten my milk and Also had to go back in the store. I meet the concern lady and told me walmart policy is not to get involved with people who leaves dogs in the car. We went back to the car and the lady call Lisbon animal control. All she got was a recording and to call 911. She call and told the trooper that there was a car with a dog in it and the window were open very little. The lady gave the trooper the license plate number type of car color etc.. The owners of the car came back and I ask him if that was his dog. He said yes and what the problem. We told him that it 100 degrees out here and to hot for the dog inside. He said they were only in the five minutes returning something. How ever they were not at the customer service went we reported it to the cashier. We went back outside and it was at least 20 min before they came out. He said the just came back from the park what did you want me to do with him.We told there are two of you. Why couldnt one go in the other stay with the dog. The owners stay for about 10 min. Than left. I went home. The lady call me and said the trooper finally came there was nothing they could do. They get at least 3 or 4 calls a day from Walmart and they cant keep up.He said nothing is going to happen to these people who left a poor little dog (pug) in the car on a hot day. Wonder what he would have said he is was a child left in the car. I thank the lady and her two girls for trying to do something for this poor little guy I wish walmart would change the policy and at least call these people over the speak. It could safe a dogs life.
