So, today Kara had to put a call on hold in order to take care of customers. I hopped up to resolve the call, which apparently had to do with helping someone figure out Facebook. I advised the man that nearly any issues he had with Facebook, he could Google the problem and get tons of information. If he absolutely needed our assistance, he could bring his computer in for a fee, or slightly more expensive, I could use a remote access program and walk him through things. This man was insane. The previous paragraph took me five minutes to communicate, because he refused to stop telling me how rude I was for not letting the young lady finish helping him. Then it got weird. NC:Ill just wait on hold to speak to the young lady again. jw: Im sorry sir, once shes done working with the customers in the store, she will have to get back to work on fixing other peoples computers. NC: Why?! jw: Because thats what we do, sir- people drop off computers, and pay us to fix them. Any time we spend needs to accounted for, as- NC:Listen. I am a National Celebrity. jw: all our cus-wait, what? NC:I am a NATIONAL CELEBRITY. I have TOURED with THE EAGLES! jw:Sir, Im sorry, but youll have to choose one of those three options to resolve your issue. NC: Im just gonna call back and talk to the young lady. jw: Well, sir as of right now, all calls regarding this issue will be handled by me. NC: No, they wont! jw: Yuuup! NC:What?! Who are you? Are YOU a National Celebrity? jw: You have a nice day, sir. NC: I SAID, ARE YOU A-*click* Five minutes later jw: Thank you for calling ComputerMan, this is Jake, how can I help you today? NC: Yes, I was speaking to a young lady a little while ago? jw: Oh! Was this regarding the Facebook difficulties? NC: Uh, yes, I just needed to- jw: Wed be more than happy to help you with this issue if youd like to bring your computer into the store, or we can take your credit card info and help you using our remote service program. NC: You hung up on me! jw: Yes, sir NC: ARE YOU A NATIONAL CELEBRITY?! jw: Are you? NC: What?! Yes! jw: And? NC: What? Are you a national celebrity? Answer me! jw: Im Jake, but how does being a National Celebrity change the circumstances? NC: Youre supposed to treat them with respect! jw: Not necessarily. . . NC: I TOURED WITH THE EAGLES! jw: Well, Im Jake Walker. You have a nice day.
