So today after the debacle of Penglais Farm me and my fellow - TopicsExpress

So today after the debacle of Penglais Farm me and my fellow admins (unpaid by the University) have probably spent a good four hours a piece calming the nearly 500 freshers we have on the Aber Applicants group down and reassuring them via the group and private messaging that everything will be fine. Pointing them to the videos and other info about where they will actually be. We have also been reassuring people about their A-level results, explaining the clearing process, and generally trying to make these peoples transition into Higher Education easier. Most of us are doing this because we remember what it was like being a fresher. In my case that was twenty years ago but you never forget that feeling. In my day we didnt have Internet so the horror and awkwardness was multiplied by infinites. All I will say to the authorities is: Dont take the philanthropy of others for granted. One day it may run out. And then you may find them outside the tent pissing in for a change.
