So today brings us another episode of: Craig – good guy or naïve fool? It may sound like Im blowing my own horn here but I really am curious what others would have done in my situation. On Route 66 today (coincidentally on my to pick up another donation for Charlie), I passed a guy walking westbound on the shoulder of the eastbound lane. I assumed he had had car trouble but there was no disabled car to be seen anywhere. When I could, I took the next exit and went back. I caught up with him near the Route 28 exit. It turns out that an argument with his wife had led to him ending up on foot. The guy was just a week out from major surgery and was limping badly by the time I found him. I gave him a ride back to his home. So the question is: You see a guy walking on the highway - do you pick him up or dont you? Furthermore, if you discover hes the kind of guy who would choose to get out of the car on the interstate to avoid an argument, does it change your opinion? The latter almost changed mine. In the end, I had to pick him up. He was wearing a Redskins jersey.
