So, today is 1 year from the day that Sal was found almost dead after a traumatic brain injury. There were many days and sleepless nights that I thought our moments together were coming to an end. My husband, my soulmate, my lover, confidant, partner, buddy, pal .... my very best friend. How will I face a day without him. Our girls are grown and we thought, dreamed and planned to have so much fun. And yet, I am blessed. To have shared as much as we did together, to have overcome so many obstacles and have come so far. And yet, I am blessed. Because for years his snoring kept me up at night and now its music to my ears. Blessed because he is still here when I wake up, finish cooking, come out of the shower ..... whenever. My best friend, my husband. I love you, and as our 29th anniversary approaches, you owe me a surf and turf dinner. And above our bed I have hung a new decal that says ..... *****Loved you then Love you still Always have Always will****** sweet dreams ............
