So today started off interestingly. We had visitors last night and Ian got to bed late. This helps explain his grumpy butt this morning. While driving to work on the 91 I witnessed a moron young guy swerving in and out of moderate traffic. He decided I was going to slow at 70 in the fast lane and he tried to pass me in the carpool lane. He swerved into the carpool lane and nearly hit a Honda who swerved hard (too hard) to avoid contact. The Honda then over corrected and spun across the freeway shockingly not hitting anyone. The idiot kid who caused that to happen kept driving and in fact had sped up. So being a witness I kept pace with the guy and started trying to get his plate. We ended up in the slow lane with a construction big rig in the lane next to us. Out of no where the Honda the kid caused to spin out races up next to me tailgating the hell out of the rig. I realized it was the car that spun out and saw a young woman and her infant in the car. She then starts aggressively and recklessly moving towards the guy. I was quite shocked since she did not hit anyone and all ended up being fine except for the scare and spin out. Not sure what the hell she hoped to accomplish. She then tore around the big rig and slammed on her brakes to try to cut the guy off which caused the big rig to hit his brakes. The entire time I am trying to keep safe in case they wrecked each other and to be a witness. The big rig then began dropping boxes because of his evasive actions, one of which smashed right into the front of my car. Pulled over with him and luckily no damage. Of course we lost the other two idiots. Not the way to start a morning.
