So, today was a pretty emotional roller coaster. I hadnt heard from the doctor by 3:30 so I called them. I told the front desk about AVA JANE having abdominal pain and complaining that she was hurting.The nurse called me back and told me to watch her bowel movements. I then asked, well, what about the St. Jude appointment. She said, oh yes, they were closed today for mlk day. We hung up and she called me right back and told me that the appt had already been scheduled for Jan 30th (next Friday). I asked her to please make sure bc I was under the impression that we would see them next Monday. She said, No. Im sure. Its here on the paper. I said, but the labs wont be in for another week, right? She said, well, a couple of them came back but you know mrs. Carlson, its all numbers so I cant really tell whats what. I began to cry and I said, Is there any way they can call me? I mean, I thought we were seeing them a week from today and now its a week and four days. This is so nerve racking! You know they are checking for a tumor, right!?! She apologized and basically (in a nice way) said it is what it is. I was bawling when she hung up....fast forward five minutes and she calls me again! Mrs Carlson, there are only two tests that have come back that are testing for a tumor but Dr Bryant wanted you to know that UNOFFICIALLY those two tests look normal and she hopes that helps to ease your mind a little and pass the time until next Friday when you can go over all the other test results with the dr from St Jude. SMALL VICTORY! PRAISE THE LORD! Its only two out of a little over fifty but BABY STEPS! And did I mention that I LOVE OUR PEDIATRICIAN! She knows Im crazy so she takes extra steps to comfort me and I LOVE THAT ABOUT HER!!! So now we are on day 3 of day 14 of waiting! PLEASE KEEP THOSE PRAYERS ROLLING IN AND THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR ALL THE PRAYERS THAT HAVE GONE OUT THUS FAR!
