So today was giving Tuesday and whether you gave or you didnt keep in mind that the need is real and exist everyday. I just happen to come upon a homeless man asking for change when I was leaving a parking lot and Danielle Burchfield told me to give him a sweatshirt from the pile I have in my trunk especially for the homeless. What was interesting and eye opening and the reason Im sharing this is when I asked him if wanted a sweater or two he said yes please Ive been trying to dry off for 2 days. You see them in the rain but you never really think about the fact that theyre not going to get to warm up, take off those clothes, or get to dry off unless theyre really fortunate. Please keep the homeless in mind especially now and if you have spare jackets or clothes throw them in your trunk and next time youre at a red light give them out. Its a great feeling for them to know people care and you may just be keeping someone alive or out of the hospital. Its also a great thing for your kids to see and/or do themselves. My girls get a kick out of seeing the ones weve helped wearing what we gave them and it really makes them feel good that they got to help someone in need. Tis the season to think of others but remember the need is real year round. God bless.
