So today was nothing short of amazing and the only word that I can really think of to express how I feel tonight is GRATITUDE. A word Ive heard all my life but never really strongly felt at its highest level until this year. I hear it all the time from Tracey Hawes Bailey when she reminds me to be thankful for something EVERYDAY. No matter what. I am grateful for the amazing women in my town who run, and have embraced me, run with me, encouraged me, and made me feel like I belonged. Im grateful for my core group of friends who have supported me this whole journey, forgiven me when I missed things because I had to run, and who stood in the cold all day and ran around like crazy people so that I would never forget that they were there and that I was loved. Grateful for my amazing husband who has sometimes carried me through this experience, made sacrifices so I could be in the gym, or running and so I could have all the things I needed to succeed. Most importantly Im thankful for #teamchase letting this overweight over emotional girl with a crazy dream join them and their efforts. Chase and Tracey have changed me in so many ways that I could NEVER repay them. Their courage and faith is unwavering. No matter what is thrown at them, they get back up and keep pushing forward and fighting and continue to be thankful and show gratitude EVERYDAY!! They fueled my fire and pushed me through every last step of 13.1 miles today! This weekend was something I will NEVER forget, a whirlwind of emotions and trials and a win for #TEAMCHASE. If You have a goal you have been putting off or are scared to shoot for, find a cause. Find a fuel to your fire and DO IT, because you can. I PROMISE! Today this 229 pound girl ran a half-marathon, and it all started from a lunch date with a wild friend with crazy Ideas and inspiration from a boy and his fight against cancer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for every post, sweet comment, text and call. I knew it would take a village to get me through, and I have the BEST village in the the world. HAVE I NOT COMMANDED YOU? BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS. DO NOT BE AFRAID, FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD IS WITH YOU WHEREVER YOU GO. JOSHUA 1:9
