So today was so wonderful! When Tim was a squadron commander - TopicsExpress

So today was so wonderful! When Tim was a squadron commander twice, we were at Airmen Leadership graduations every month. As a Deputy, not as often. A friend who is a Colonel retired too, after 24 years. So we first got to attend his retirement - listening to the stories of a very illustrious career full of achievement and hard work. Listening to him personally speak about his life, his wonderful wife, and his journey in the Air Force. He made me cry 3 times. Ha! The flag folding and presentations were so moving. Then on to the ALS graduation (Tims boss is gone so we got to fill in if you will) and it was SO great to be in attendance once again. A large room full of motivated young airmen changing over into leadership roles. You can hear a pin drop when they do the dedication of the table for one - a very surreal and moving dedication to all of the fallen from years past (see link below). I cant describe with justice what it all makes me feel and how proud I am to be some very small part of this and it makes me miss wearing the uniform as well. So great, so great. Thank you Lord for blessing me with this lifestyle. Worth every separation, every sacrifice and every challenge that comes with being a military spouse. And yes, now a military mother. God bless my men and all of those who serve. Go Murica as my son would say! :-D dtic.mil/dpmo/pow_day/documents/missing_man_ceremony_instructions.pdf
