So today we were out of water for the coffee at the shelter I grabbed one of the 5 gal empty jugs & one of the homeless guy wanted to come with me. He is 25 years old & stutters he is always apologizing for it which I told him I didnt mind at all & to quit apologizing to people. This guy is a field worker he is on the streets cuz he doesnt make enough to rent after sending money home. He also went with us to the Laundromat yesterday & helped wash all the blankets we had since we first began the shelter. This young man is so nice, respectful & very helpful hes always cleaning up or helping serve or whatever the need is hes there. This is why I do this cuz I know I am helping someone that just needs a warm place to sleep. We went to the store & came back & guess what you ignorant people out there (its sad to know how many of you there are) I wasnt robbed, wasnt raped, nor did he drink or shoot up in my car, it was a pleasure to have this young man help me help him.
