So tomorrow at 2pm, I will have my first appt with my oncologist. I will not start chemo tomorrow but will find out my start date. We are expecting to begin next week. My port area is still very painful so Im hoping it will be better before they punch into it for chemo. But speaking of chemo...I have my chemo bag, shoes, and now one of the softest chemo blankets ever. And all thanks to some very amazing friends. And since I am talking about amazing friends...Stephanie Nold is more than amazing. Stephanie...we love you SO much and cannot tell you how grateful we are for the more than amazing surprise that we woke up to yesterday morning. I dont think I will ever get used to being on the receiving end of so many generous gifts, meals, and donations. Ive always been the one giving and thats how I wouldve liked to have kept it. But my plans are not always Gods plans and He had much different plans for my life. I find peace in knowing He doesnt get things wrong so His reasons for this illness to be a part of His plan, for me, may not be clear for me to understand but I absolutely accept them. Along with accepting, I continue to put my faith in Him for healing and strength.
