So tomorrow is my Big Sisters 46th birthday...let me be the first to wish her that big day! Happy Birthday Karla Duff! In honor of her birthday...Im going to ask allof my friends to share this message on their page and do what you can...can you do $0.46(a stamp costs more than this!), $4.60 (a fancy cup of coffee), $46.00 (a nice meal out with your honey), $460.00 (a cheap clothes dryer) or be crazy...invite Bill Gates, Oprah, or Warren Buffett...$4,600,000,000! Here is how you can help make her birthday wish come true...from a post she made this week of facebook. She is a great middle school teacher who is looking for new ways to engage that spark that everyone has in them. My next Adventure in Room 12: Learning Through the Google Glass This is something I havent done before, but I am so excited to get started, I am asking for your help- I am needing each of you to donate a $1.00 (or more) to help me purchase Google Glass to use in my classroom. This newer technology tool will take our learning to an unlimited level of reality. I have so many plans... $1500 is needed to get a pair of Glass. Thank you for helping make this happen! It is easy to donate: [email protected] is my paypal account email. Google Glass is a wearable computer with an optical head-mounted display. The lenses of the glasses are like a computer screen, allowing you to see information much as you would on a traditional laptop, desktop, tablet or smartphone except the data doesn’t interfere with your line of vision. You can take pictures, record videos, surf the Web, videoconference via Google Hangouts and receive information like directions or language translation in real-time. Other than its obvious cool factor, Google Glass has a very real potential to greatly enhance education. https://glass.google/getglass/shop/glass
