So tonight I am dealing with some very personal things....as a matter of life and death so to speak. I think about all the things in my life that are good and some things that arent so good....and at this point and time in what is going on in my life I wish to think only about the positive things...because in the end..when we meet our maker isnt that what it is really all about? Forget all the negativity in life... we are not defined by the bad things that we have done but by the GOOD...so I am asking this question....name one GOOD thing that you have done in your life to make a difference in someone elses life....with no regard to what kind of peace is has given you...but what you gave to help someone else...no pats on the back to you...what you have given to make someone elses life easier or better....here is mine....A young man...in his late teens was diagnosed with Leukemia...he was an only child and his parents adored him...he past away when he was 18...his last wish was that he had a headstone with his picture on it....his parents where poor...they had no money...but some how scarped together enough money to have his head stone done with his picture...his name was Jubel...a year after his death someone desecrated his head stone the family was distraught ..they wrote a letter to the local newspaper (scio tribune) and as I read it I bawled...and I said someone needs to do something for this family....and I did...I made a difference...I wrote letters to all the local newspapers,,,the local TV stations put out donation cups at all the local stores...channel 6 and channel 8 both picked the story up....by the time the story was told on channel 6 enough money was donated to replace Jubels picture...the community came together to fix this awful thing. I did not do this for a pat on the back...I did it because I felt the need to help this family...I feel good about this...I feel good that I made a difference....How about you...what have you done to make a difference?
