So tonight I decided that Daria has fully recovered from her bout with PHF. I went out to bring her in for the night and she came galloping up to the gate and after first nearly sliding into it in the mud, she proceeded to run off bucking and kicking like a two year old, then back, nearly sliding into the gate again. Finally she let me put the lead shank on her and get her through the OPEN gate instead of the closed one, then Holy chitlins! all hell broke loose. She started bucking and rearing and kicking like a rodeo bronc, all with me trying to hang onto a six foot shank so she didnt get loose and still not get kicked in the head. Finally she stopped, snorting and blowing like she just saw a ghost. We proceeded to walk/jog all the way back to the barn like a race horse on the way to the starting gate. I had forgotten how nuts she is, lol. Having Abby at her side really settled her down and then she was sick. Obviously she is not sick anymore and tonight was making up for lost time. :)
