So tonight we were coming home and turning into our neighborhood, we see some people on the side of the road and a cat laying there. I asked Jim to turn around and go back and I asked the people - a man and two young girls - what happened thinking they hit the cat...the cat was still alive and able to move her front but not back legs and had blood barely trickling out of its nose or mouth - the girls had stopped because they saw the cat in the road and the man had been walking his dog, took his dog home and came back to help the girls with the cat. If anyone went near the cat, it hissed and tried to move and we were afraid to touch her or make her move more...anyhow the girls called animal control and he came to get the kitty but I went home to get a blanket to take the cat to the hospital. THe girls got ahold of an emergency vet who agreed to take the cat so animal control lent them a cat carrier, picked up the kitty with that stick and claw thing at the end...the girls drove and animal control followed...the cat will be fine and the nurse at the hospital is going to adopt her and I found that not all hope is lost in this world and there are some good (young) people in the world....who knew? thankful for the girls and that the kitty is going to be fine and well taken care of..
