So tonite, after a exchange over a rule, a passenger stepped off my bus then spit at me, a regular rider came up to ask if I was ok, I said I was fine, I felt embarrassed, angry, numb, and wanted no to no longer care about the public I move, I was mad at my employer for allowing me to be exposed to this, but after I got in to garage, I saw 2 friends and 2 more, and 1 hugged me and was shocked how calm I was, and later a dear friend coworker called & we talked about it, I was called a racist by this guy because he saw me as white, and he was black!! All the friends I saw and girl who asked me if I was ok were all people of color or other walls of life! And some of those people I love a lot!! My dear friend gave me wise advice, she said focus on the fact that its not about you And shes right! Ive driven bus for 24 years, Ive been called all kinds of names, Ive also met and gathered people I woulda never gathered had it not been from moving from school bus to city bus & from Michigan to Chicago. I wouldnt change any of it!! As for the guy, screw him and hell get his from somebody else, but not me!! Because its not about me
