So, u go to the doc after being sick for a while and not wanting to go to the er cuz well, they dont do anything anyway. But, the doc sees ur vitals and calls the er to let them know u r coming, wants to send u across the freeway in an ambulance cuz u r n bad shape. But no, u let the hubby drive. Go to the er only @ docs orders, hook up iv and oxygen, ct with contrast and chest xrays. On oxygen all day and vitals dont change. Pharmacist comes n to let u know u will be getting iv antibiotics. Doc runs in and says scan and xrays were clr but u will be getting iv antibiotics to help over the hump of whatever this thing is causing your breath to be gone and sent home with orals. K. Respiratory comes n, finally with a breathing treatment. Nurse comes in with steroid shot and oral antibiotic, pulls out iv, says bronchitis (doc just said not the problem) and sends u on ur way...with the same vitals that your pcp panicked over and sent u to the er for. I do have insurance. Someone pls explain.
