So, wanted to share a little story regarding my experiences with my mothers computer update. I come home to visit, and she says You need to update my computer. I see that its her 2010 Macbook Pro, and I agree and sit down, thinking that it would take a couple hours to update. Boy, was I wrong. First of all, she has literally no space. A 500 gb hard drive, and she managed to use all but 1 gb of it. Second, nothing is in folders. Its all either in Documents, or in Downloads. Also, she had 47 tabs open in safari. 47?!? Third, I find out that she hasnt updated since 2011, so I was looking at at a 65 gb upgrade at least. Fourth, she didnt know her own iTunes password, so that took forever to change. After working for a good bit of time, including going out and purchasing a backup drive, I finally manage to update her computer and give it back to her. Her first comment was, What took you so long? :(
