So we ate lots of choklit and I read my new book and Sue finally found out shed won the giveaway and chose a norty weasel hurrah! And I thought Id have a day off felting partly cos its a bit rude to go off into your shed on Christmas Day except to give the weasels a kiss and some presents and partly because I needed to give my arm a rest so... I tried my hand at knitting instead as I was given a beautiful ball of merino, silk, alpaca mix wool. I decided to learn something new as I can only knit long lines of knit (and purl if I concentrate hard)and make some wrist warmers with a frilly pattern at the end (being small and supposedly relative easy) and the lovely Lizzy came to my rescue on FB and sent me photos of how to do a yo p1 demonstrated on her mums knitting as it turned out it wasnt a greeting but a stitch. I am quite proud to say I did 5 whole rows today despite Henry cats help. And shall I tell you a sekrit? Sssshhhh come closer... Being an under the table sort of person I love Boxing Day a little bit more than Christmas Day. So Im going to bed looking forward to leftovers and reading and knitting tomorrow. Oh and I was given the most beautiful carpet bag for Christmas. Ive wanted one since I was a child and never found one to match my imagination of the perfect bag till I found London Jack on etsy.
