So we cut back A LOT for Christmas this year with money being tight and all the expenses of bringing a newborn home. I have picked up some extra work outside the newspaper by selling things we have had in storage and reselling other items, but ultimately Casey and I passed on a gift exchange for each other and cut back in some other holiday areas. That seemed a little disappointing today but as we have prepared dinner for this evenings gathering I have been reflecting on the fact we gave each other this precious little guy via Gods amazing blessings. One of the best holidays I can recall. Remember that Christmas blessings do not necessarily have to come from a Mega Mart or Amazon. Maybe it is sharing moments with family for another holiday, maybe it is health, maybe it is having a hot shower to take and a roof over our head, maybe it is in the next minute we have on earth ... most of us are incredibly blessed.
