So, we finally became THOSE parents. Oh, which parents, you ask?? The ones who knew their kids knew their iTunes password but didnt proactively do anything to ensure that said password would be used by said kids to, well, you know how the story goes... I just happened to see an iTunes charge from this afternoon that I did not recognize. Not like, a SONG or a movie rental... No, this wasnt $0.99, or $2.99 It wasnt an accidental app purchase for even $4.99 No, my friends, this charge was $99.99!!!! What the frack!?!? Further investigation revealed that one of my children (who shall remain nameless) purchased an in-app purchase called a Treasure Chest for one of his games. This child was elated at the immediate prosperity it brought him in his game, and his newfound capacity to master the game likely washed away any sort of I wonder what I just did thoughts. We totally believe him that he didnt know he was spending REAL money. I assured him I believed him... but it was still ONE HUNDRED FRICKIN DOLLARS! Luckily, Uncle Steve came through again (may he Rest in Peace). I called Apple Support, explained what happened, and since weve never requested a refund before they were willing to reverse the charges for us. Oy vey. Thank you Jesus. Good times. #parenting
