So we got a hand drawn map from a friend of a colonial village that was abandoned during the early 1800s which kept the homesites from being documented on the common 1858 & 1897 maps that everyone uses to locate cellar holes. We drove out there and the map was the real deal with the old roads leading us right up to the edge of the village and first two cellar holes.
