So we had a lovely time in NY. Hands frozen. Thankful for hand & foot warmers. Ate at Da Rosina across from Beccos on W. 46th (Restaurant Row). Didnt want to spend a lot. Da Rosina, lovely atmosphere & pre fixe meal got us a nice tossed salad, an appetizer which was cured beef & parmesiano over arugula tossed in light dressing, main course (we got chicken sorrentino & francaise) side dishes carrots broccoli & potatoes cooked al dente, dessert (we got ricotta cheesecake & chocolate mousse topped with whipped cream) and coffee for $32 a person. I have to say I rarely leave a restaurant totally satisfied. Service, ambience & food were great. Then we walked by old fashioned Christmas Carolers in front of church on 46th street that magically put me back to Charles Dickens time. Then onward bound past Radio City & to the tree & Saks light show which is amazing. Then watched the ice skaters in Bryant Park & ended the night around an open fire pit sipping hot apple cider with a great group of strangers. Didnt get to see all the decorated store windows except for Macys which always fill me with the delight & wonder of a child. We plan to go back late December to see the windows. If you havent been to New York at Christmastime put it on your bucket list.
