So, we had an eventful night. And before I get into it, I just want to say how glad I am that God holds me and my family, especially when I barely have the mind to do it myself. At 11:30 last night, Abbey had a severe seizure and stopped breathing in the middle of it. I had to bag her and give her oxygen. I was hysterical, but Darla Campbell came to help, as well as my stepdad and the EMTs were there within 6 minutes. While at the ER, she had another, smaller seizure. Both of these were completely different and more harsh than any shes ever had in the past. And because she stopped breathing, we spent the day at the hospital. Fortunately, shes ok and were home now, but shes still very pale and tired. God guided every movement last night and kept us safe and Chris and Charlie safe as they drove in from PA. So many people were praying for Abbs and for us and I felt those prayers calming me and helping me do what I needed to do. I pray I never have to see her go through that again, but I know life will always have unexpected surprises. I also know that God will never leave my side during those surprises, birth good and bad. Again, thank you Darla for coming to help and to the guys who got us to Cabell in record time. Thanks to Chris, Anita, Taylor, and Christopher for coming to visit. And my mom and stepdad for staying with me at the ER. Thanks to everyone else for your prayers and please say another little one that Abbey continues to feel better this week and that we can find out what triggered the seizures. God bless!
