So we just got a call from our own home number on caller id. Company stated they were working with experian to help customers lower their rates on their credit cards. (mind you all our number are registered with donotcall.gov) So being intrigued that i just somehow called my self with a credit card offer, i humored him and played along right up until they started asking for my CC information, to which i replied if your calling on their behalf please read back my correct mailing address and then they proceeded to ask for verification of my expiration date of my CC but they had no idea what company my card was with. Once i started telling them they should already have this information suddenly i hear ....hello....hello...hello then they hung up So be careful if someone calls you from your own number! after googling this i guess its fairly common way of scamming people into giving up their information
