So we live in a smallish town.. We have roughly about 3 places we go out to socialise regularly. The fact is theres going to be old friends, present friends and friends you havent met yet. There are old friends who once meant a great deal to you and from whom youve drifted apart and then theres their new friends! Theres ex boyfriends, ex girlfriends and their new partners out there too. There are people whove hurt you bad.. and people who that youve hurt too and every day you step out of the house you may just see someone you werent expecting. Its time to accept the inevitable and that is that life moves on, people move on, hopefully people grow up but the fact is sadly and for no good reason at all that people grow apart but that doesnt have to mean that you avoid, ignore or be unkind to anyone. Sure we make out own choices for each situation where possible but this time of year, as all of our social calendars fill up for this season of festivities, lets try a bit harder to look past old hurts and accept that everyone has a past. Lets be kind to one another, wave and say hello. As today has shown us, there are bigger things happening out in the world to worry about small town silliness.
